2026. október 05.

A 21-member Hungarian business delegation representing 18 companies visited Morocco from 28 September to 1 October 2026 on a trip organised by the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI). The programme in Casablanca and Rabat aimed to strengthen bilateral business ties, explore opportunities for cooperation and gain insight into Morocco’s business environment.

The delegation was led by Dr Viktor Dombi, Chair of the HCCI’s Regional Committee for the Middle East and North Africa and Honorary Consul of Morocco. The Chamber was also represented by Tibor Szakács, Head of the Foreign Trade Expert Advisory Board, and Rebeka Turkovics, Secretary of the Regional Committee.

The visit began with a business dinner on 28 September, during which Dr Viktor Dombi, Boldizsár Juhász, Hungary’s Commercial Attaché in Rabat, and Abdelaziz Dahbi, Honorary Consul of Hungary, shared insights into opportunities for entering the Moroccan market and the practical aspects of doing business there. Tibor Szakács presented the objectives of the HCCI’s Foreign Trade Expert Advisory Board and the support it offers businesses.

On 29 September, a meeting of the Hungarian–Moroccan Business Council was held at the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises. The Hungarian companies introduced themselves to 36 Moroccan business representatives before learning about the activities of local companies. The programme also included presentations on Hungary’s economic environment and the HCCI’s business support services. Representatives of Sunstone-RTLS Kft. and Custom Wind Solution Zrt. shared their experiences of developing business in the region through their own success stories. The afternoon provided opportunities for networking and individually arranged business meetings.

On 30 September, the delegation visited the Industrial Transformation Africa trade fair, where participants gained insight into current developments in the industrial and technology sectors. The programme continued at the Embassy of Hungary in Rabat, where the delegation was welcomed by Anna Éva Takács, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., and Boldizsár Juhász, Commercial Attaché. A highlight of the visit was an informal business discussion with Mourad Alem, Chairman and CEO of Marjane Group, who offered practical advice to help Hungarian companies understand local business opportunities and the requirements for entering the Moroccan market.

The visit provided participating companies with direct networking opportunities and practical market knowledge to support the development of Hungarian–Moroccan business cooperation.
