The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) has become a full member of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI).
Budapest, June 16, 2025 – A historic decision was made today at the General Assembly of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (TCCI), the economic umbrella organization of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Budapest: the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) was officially accepted as a full member of the Union.
The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) will henceforth contribute to the economic development programs, infrastructure and trade projects under the framework of the TCCI with full voting rights, strategic cooperation, and active expert involvement.
Elek Nagy, President of the HCCI, stated: “Cooperation with the Turkic states is not merely a formal relationship. Our countries are bound by shared heritage and common ambitions. The Hungarian Chamber seeks to build mutually advantageous and active business relations with the Turkic states. This collaboration holds significant potential for growth and, not least, represents access to a vast market. To support this objective, the Hungarian Chamber places special emphasis on promoting the digital economy, knowledge-based decision-making, and the continuous development of Hungarian enterprises.”
Full membership, underpinned by a shared intellectual and cultural heritage, may pave the way for new opportunities in exporting Hungarian products and services to Turkic-speaking countries, particularly in sectors such as health industry, food industry, water management, transportation, and business services.
