Although some 500 billion forint's worth of EU funds were transferred to Hungary at the end of August and the first weeks of September, which beefed up budget figures rather nicely, the cabinet still did not embark on a spree of EU fund disbursement, Portfolio's regular monthly analysis reveals. The reason behind this modestly is that there are not so many tenders waiting for the announcement of the winners in the system. Also, it depends mainly on the progress in the projects when and how much can authorities pay the winners. Full article
