Hungary had a EUR 1.75 billion trade surplus in April, widening from EUR 1.57 bln in the previous month, according to a second reading of data released by the Central Statistical Office (KSH) this week.
Exports rose 9.2% year-on-year to EUR 12.547 bln. Imports slipped 2.9% to EUR 10.798 bln. Trade with other European Union member states accounted for 76% of Hungary's exports and 75% of its imports during the month.
